Keep in mind EVERY candidate, even Gabbard, has their die hard supporters.
If their candidate is trashed, some will just stay home on election day.
This happens in every election.
In 2016, many Bernie fans stayed home.

Then the Clinton dust up happened and she easily qualified for this one after getting millions of dollars in free press coverage, plus is also now only one (and can get it in two ways) poll away from qualifying for the December debate as well.

is mostly from Republicans and those who'd rather vote Green and see the country go to shit than vote for an alternative Dem candidate. Castro on the other side has to share the Dem voters with the others and isn't going for the anti-Dem vote.
