If creating more of them takes us "back 85 years" then it's time to get out the Wayback Machine, Rocky.

...would not be practical in 2020. Plus, I think it's misguided to attach the name "New Deal" to all these proposals that are coming out.

On the other hand, we SHOULD all work our asses off to reinstate the provisions of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that the republicans have ripped to shreds.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

First, Warren proposing a moderate incrementalist path to M4A, and now AOC channeling FDR.

I like it! Dare I dream of the party uniting along these principles?

AOC did not say she wanted to return to that era, she wants to return to the party that had ideals and tried to make life better for all people. Yes, there were failures, but that's not a reason to stop trying.

Retreating from those ideals and turning into "Republican Lite" is what has hurt the Democratic party more than anything else.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I know what he means but nostalga from our party isn't much better than nostalga from the other one. In terms of Civil Rights our party has been that for quite some time.

But just different times. And I'm not implying AOC supports Trump's policies. It just seems like a lot of politicians want a return to the past, whether it's 1940, 1950, or 2009.

As soon as they see "AOC" next to who's saying it, too many find a way.

...Bernie and Alexandria, what a winning pair made in heaven...

...what a beautiful combination, what a winning combination...we're blessed to have such leaders in our midst,

...we're going to win this nomination, folks, and the Presidency...we're going to bring this Party home...we're going to bring this nation home...we're going to bring this Party and nation back to the future, back to a bright spanking New Deal...back to the spirit of FDR and back to the working people of this great nation...

...every election cycle for last 50 years I've heard the same tired tune, 'now is not the time for real change'...'the American people are too conservative'...'you're going too far, we're going to lose'...and every election cycle we struggle for victory because we keep jamming 'more of the same' down the American people's parched throat when they long for a cool drink of 'Progressive change'...not this time,

...the time is NOW...there's never been a better time than NOW to lead this country out of it's darkness into the light of a Progressive New Deal...into the light of leaders like Bernie and Alexandria...

...we can do it and we will do it...

...I can feel it in my bones...

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
