(39,367 posts)"Get this, Donald. Nasty women are tough. Nasty women are smart. And nasty women vote," Warren told a crowd of an estimated 4,000 folks bundled in jackets and vests on the campus of Saint Anselm College in Manchester, surrounding by blazing orange and red fall foliage. "And, on Nov. 8, we nasty women are going to march our nasty feet to cast our nasty votes to get you out of our lives forever."
Donald Trump called Hillary Clinton "such a nasty woman" during their final debate last week in Las Vegas. And while Clinton herself has been hesitant to acknowledge the insult, Warren embraced it Monday.
The crowd cheered and laughed as Warren dug in deeper.
Warren has become a sort of attack-dog surrogate on the Clinton campaign, insulting Trump both on the stump and on social media. She's also the darling of the progressive left and fundamentally more animated on the campaign trail...

(39,367 posts)The two nerdy wonks and feisty grandmothers, who built rival power centers on the political left but this spring gradually became allies, together electrified a crowd of thousands by locking their arms, punching the air and excoriating Donald Trump.
Clinton may be the one running for president, but Warren, her new surrogate and possibly future running mate, stole the show with her eviscerating takedown of Trump and her enthusiastic endorsement of Clinton...

(39,367 posts)She came thisclose with Kaine, a good man who added nothing Im afraid. Warren would have complimented HRC wonderfully and was up for it. I do understand the objection to two women on the ticket. I actually give HRC credit for giving it as much consideration as she did and Im sure that rally was part of the reason why.

(1,701 posts)No offense to Tim Kaine, but we had an open wound in the party that needed mending. The selection of Kaine only make it worse. Choosing Warren would have been healing in my estimation.
And they were electric together.

(673 posts)with what he said? It's true.
She was happy to call people who didn't want M4A a republican, until she realized that M4A was weighing her down and now she's trying to run from it.
It's time to face the fact that Warren is a poor candidate. She's proven time and against that she has terrible political instincts and has even walked right into obvious traps from Trump, and isn't even running against him yet. She underperforms in elections, even in deep blue Massachusetts. She isn't a national candidate.
Nobody is falling for this. If you don't want M4A, why would you vote for the candidate who spent years calling for it, only to switch when the polling turned against her when you could vote for a candidate who was always against it. If you were going to vote for Warren because you did like M4A, would you still vote for her now after she tossed it under the bus?
