We at Gaslit Nation have tried to avoid the subject of Tulsi Gabbard for a long time. The reason for this is that Gabbard is a long-time supporter of dictators -- including Assad, Sisi, and Modi -- and has backed a number of horrible policies, like making it harder for Muslim refugees to enter the U.S., tolerating Russian war crimes in Syria, voting against the Magnitsky Act, and vouching for the Bill Barr fake version of the Mueller report. We did not think this fringe candidate polling at under one percent deserved any oxygen, especially when famous Tulsi Gabbard fans like white supremacists Steve Bannon and Tucker Carlson had that covered.
Unfortunately, the topic of Tulsi became unavoidable this week when Hillary Clinton called out Jill Stein as a Russian asset and said that the Kremlin was again grooming a candidate unnamed, but assumed to be Tulsi Gabbard by, um, Tulsi Gabbard -- for a third-party run. We discuss how Clinton is admired for her foresight until she actually identifies a new threat, review Gabbards record on Russia and Syria, and implore people to look at the broader context of Russian influence operations and an unsecure 2020 election. We also talk about the ridiculous reaction to the Gabbard case by certain candidates and by cable news. 2020 is 2016 all over again and no one learned anything!

(25,138 posts)Tulsi Gabbard has "the audacity of stupidity." "American processed food in the form of information, misinformation."
I'm afraid I assume too often that such podcasts are going to yammer on about establishment-neoliberal-status quo-corporatist anti-Democratic stuff. This was wonderful and I will listen more. Thanks.

(10,237 posts)...Tulsi Gabbard is a big, itchy bleeding hemorrhoid on the hind quarters of the 2020 field. Hopefully her primary opponent will kick HER ass out of office.
RESIST!

I was also disappointed in Beto. Andrew Yang and Marianne Williamson not so much because they were never even remotely near my candidate choice sights. https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/oct/20/tulsi-gabbard-hillary-clinton-feud-2020-democrats-/
I was totally unsurprised by Bernie. https://www.salon.com/2019/10/22/bernie-sanders-defends-tulsi-gabbard-against-hillary-clintons-outrageous-russian-asset-allegation/
But I thought Buttigieg was much more intelligent than that.

They should have fact-checked BEFORE jumping on the anti-Hillary bandwagon.
They did NOT.
