I do look at the ENTIRE package. How a candidate dresses is important to me also.
If a candidate (or ANY job applicant) doesn't care about their personal appearance, then that's a big clue to me what kind of job they're going to do (or what kind of employee they're going to be.)
The candidate I support doesn't need to be a fashion model, but the clothes that he (or she) wears do need to look nice on them, the need to fit, and they need to be pressed and cleaned and have pride in their personal appearance.
That can be a real challenge. I personally know how difficult it can be to travel with professional attire and NOT have it come out of the suitcase looking as though you sleep in your clothes. (Thank goodness for travel irons and steamers!)
o when a candidate is able to show up looking smart, pressed, coiffed, neat, coordinated and spit-shined... then that tells me that they are organized and they're able to PLAN AHEAD and PRIORITIZE.
Those are good qualities for our party's nominee to have.
