My daughter had a toxic pregnancy which occurred later in her pregnancy. Continuing it would have risked her LIFE. Luckily, an emergency C section was done and she and my grandson survived and are well.

The fact is that this is a made up thing, designed by the RTL folk to get people to hate legal abortion. These repulsive republicans would let women suffer and die in the name of their twisted theology.

amount of early intervention, education, outreach, testing and counseling will obviate the need for
late term abortion.

And other factors play a role—denial or fear in the case of very young people, hiding pregnancy due to family reaction, being a domestic violence or rape victim—but no Democrat should be shamed into shying away from getting real about what late term involves.

And yes, a mother’s life can be at stake. It is wonderful when both lives can be saved, but this is not always the case. Ireland got some religion so to speak when a hospital waited too late to save
a pregnant woman’s life when the foetus would not have survived any way. And people ought to get to choose if they have to.

see what is real and USE this late term abortion meme as a stick to beat us with. We have to fight back with facts but, of course, the hard core Rs will make stuff up just to make women "suffer for their sin" of having sex.

I have 3 granddaughters who grew up when I was working at Planned Parenthood and faced the picketers every morning when I came to work. My mother, still alive at the time, was worried about me and asked me to leave my job and get a job somewhere else, less dangerous (as she saw it).

I remember one old guy who had a ramshackle bus of some sort that he had covered in huge posters of what he said were photos of dead aborted fetuses. He had a bullhorn and used to yell out "Don't kill your baby!" to the women coming into the facility. I went out with a camera and told "Stanley, I'm gonna take a picture of your ugly face and put it in my emails to donors!" which is what I did (I was Development Director there). I'd taunt him with how much money his face would raise money for us. I got into a bit of trouble by the Ex. Dir. who thought we should just ignore the picketers.

43. Judicial Procedures Reform Bill of 1937
Tue Oct 15, 2019, 10:40 PM
Oct 2019

'The Judicial Procedures Reform Bill of 1937[1] (frequently called the "court-packing plan&quot [2] was a legislative initiative proposed by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt to add more justices to the U.S. Supreme Court in order to obtain favorable rulings regarding New Deal legislation that the Court had ruled unconstitutional.[3] The central provision of the bill would have granted the President power to appoint an additional Justice to the U.S. Supreme Court, up to a maximum of six, for every member of the court over the age of 70 years and 6 months.

In the Judiciary Act of 1869 Congress had established that the United States Supreme Court would consist of the Chief Justice and eight associate justices. During Roosevelt's first term the Supreme Court struck down several New Deal measures as being unconstitutional. Roosevelt sought to reverse this by changing the makeup of the court through the appointment of new additional justices who he hoped would rule his legislative initiatives did not exceed the constitutional authority of the government. Since the U.S. Constitution does not define the size of the Supreme Court, Roosevelt pointed out that it was within the power of the Congress to change it. The legislation was viewed by members of both parties as an attempt to stack the court, and was opposed by many Democrats, including Vice President John Nance Garner.[4][5] The bill came to be known as Roosevelt's "court-packing plan".[2]'>>>

I am proud that in an election where the GOP sought to divide us, Hillary ran on the slogan "stronger together." And she talked about wanting to president for everyone.

The deplorables comment was a recognition that Trump was running a uniquely deplorable campaign and some people reacted favorably to it. That is how he won the GOP nomination. Many people loved it when he would do things like calling Mexican immigrants drug dealers and rapists.
