(999 posts)She hates the shit show DC and its politics have become, and there's NO way she'll ever consider running for office. She feels she's already done her turn in the barrel, and I sure don't blame her. Wish her and Barak well as they live outside the DC bubble.

(430 posts)The stipulation in Amendment 22 is only on the Presidency. No mention of a president becoming a vice-preseident after his two terms. In addition, the vice president is allowed to serve as many terms as can be elected.
Interesting thought, though.

(15,058 posts)But it was my understanding that since the VP is in line to be the President should something happen, then Obama would have a third term which isn't permitted. I could be wrong about that.
Too bad we can't enlist Michelle to run! But she has said a thousand times that she won't.

(47,425 posts)I assume you mean Michelle.
Yes, compassion is nice but hardly enough.
As if we did not have enough voters last time around who said that the job of the president is not for a woman.
It is not "bigoted" or other reasons for hiding. Let's face reality.

(430 posts)Don't try to tell me what I mean.
I used to wonder why warning labels were placed on plastic bags or "Don't drink the Turpentine."
Why would you fulfill half the "assume", complain about not enough people voting for a woman then go on to try to defend your assumption?
Reality? Really? 8%?
BTW, amost 3 million Americans decided to support a woman for president. Sadly, 3 million bigots voted for someone less qualified than your suggested Michelle.
