Warren shows signs of broadening her base

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) appears to be growing her share of support from black voters, who have been slow to warm to her campaign.

A new poll from NBC News and The Wall Street Journal found Warren in second place among black voters with 13 percent support, her best showing in any poll to date. That’s up from 8 percent in the previous survey from July, although the 5-point swing is within the poll’s margin of error.

An Economist–YouGov survey released Wednesday found Warren’s support among black voters at 11 percent, up from 5 percent in July. And the latest Politico–Morning Consult survey found Warren gaining 5 points among black voters.

IMHO the big crisis to visit us in near future is banking and financial meltdown, bigger than Bush-43 created back in 2008 period. Trump has been sowing the seeds for 2.5 years and will finish the job by the time he leaves office in Jan 2021. Senator Warren is more qualified and experienced to prevent and address the crisis which is very likely to appear soon after 2020.

I don't think we'll have to wait until 2021 for the encounter between fan and poop. Signs of the impending recession are becoming more and more frequent, and we're rapidly approaching the tipping point where one small incident will push the markets into full bear mode. You know, something like a potential war causing gas prices to spike.

The next financial crisis will be triggered by something nobody’s prepared for, warns market strategist

And there’s an ETF play for it

Former Vice President Joe Biden still dominates the field with black voters, and he’ll be the favorite to win the nomination unless that changes. Biden pulled 49 percent support from black voters in the NBC-Journal poll, a 36-point lead over Warren.

5. Biden's biggest advantage right now is name recognition
Thu Sep 19, 2019, 05:24 PM
Sep 2019

99% of democrats know who is, and he gets help from Obama/Biden ticket coattails.
But here is the important point to consider, Biden will have energy problems to sustain the grueling presidential race and is likely to increase gaffe rate as the campaign wears on him. It is not his fault. It is simply the age catching up with him. Whereas Warren has energy surplus, and as she gains name recognition, she will surpass Biden.

"Hillary is leading Bernie because of name recognition". Funny Bernie never closed that gap no matter how many people got to know him.

Seem the Warren/Biden situation is similar. Warren will never close that gap because her appeal is too narrow. It not her fault. It is simply that she cant connect with black voters. Whereas Biden is adored and respected by African Americans and without the black vote no Democrat can win a primary or a general election.

discussed during primaries. That includes my favored candidate Elizabeth Warren.
After nomination, it will be too late. Weaknesses are facts, not insults.
But of course weaknesses should not be made up lies. Then it could be an insult.

We will deal with Trump AFTER democratic candidate is nominated.
And I can posit that Biden has made more gaffes than other top 4 polling candidates combined.
Klobuchar rarely makes a gaffe on the campaign trail.
Ditto with Warren, Harris, & Bernie.
Does that make Biden a gaffe machine?
Only in comparison to other 4 top polling candidates.
May be you can come with another word for it, and I will consider using it.
