In a fundraising email sent to supporters, Joe Biden’s campaign pointed out that if someone types “donate Joe Biden” into a Google search, the first link to appear is one that directs them to donate to Donald J. Trump for President, CBS News reports. 

The email continues: “Trump’s campaign is paying money to run ads online so that their donation link is the first thing you see when you search ‘donate Joe Biden.’ But, listen, here’s the thing: We can’t stop them because we’re out of money to run online ads for the rest of the month.”

I get so confused by all of this thread locking. I enjoyed reading your thread.

3. It was a thread that had Biden's campaign in the main part of the story and i put it

in general discussion instead of democratic primaries. Then i moved it. Sometimes i am not paying attention. The thread locking is my fault because i don't slow down and think when i am posting.

Why would they be out of money? I don't get it.

4. They are on a budget. Democrats don't have unlimited money to game

the internet. Apparently the Republicans do.

5. I guess it's someone's idea of a cute ad for donations.

Pretty common to search for something and have a couple competitor’s ads pop up. Sucks, but you learn pretty quick.

6. When I checked on this last night, only Biden's name brought up the Trump ad. Similar seraches

for ways to donate to other Democratic candidates

donate (name)

didn't, so they were targeting Biden.

8. Our own members here brought it to our attention and they were not Biden fans. It isn't

happening with other candidates.
