Too big a crowd: Sen. Elizabeth Warren's town hall is moving to the Seattle Center

A gusher of support has caused organizers to move Sen. Elizabeth Warren's Emerald City town hall on Sunday to the International Fountain at the Seattle Center.

The Massachusetts Democrat's president bid has been on a roll, and drew a crowd of 12,000 in Minneapolis earlier this week. The event at Seattle Center is free and starts at 2:15 p.m. No ticket is needed.

The event had been scheduled for the WaMu Theater next to CenturyLink Field, once a Barack Obama venue. As with that campaign as it caught on, however, Warren is seeking bigger venues.

Four years ago, when Sen. Bernie Sanders first came to town, he packed Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion, and later moved to bigger digs at Key Arena, and then the pitcher's mound at what was then Safeco Field. Sanders gave exactly the same speech at all locations.

Washington liberals fell in love with Sanders. Surprisingly, Bernie hasn't been back in the 2020 campaign. The state's liberal Democrats appear ready to fall in love with Warren, who has issued plan after plan covering everything from public lands to college tuition.
