I finally made a choice, Julian Castro, and this is why

I've been torn between Warren, Buttigieg, Harris, Klobuchar, and Castro, but I chose Castro, at least for now, lol.

For one thing, I think Julian Castro would be our best bet of anyone to beat Trump (I'll explain why below), but the thing that strikes a chord with me more than anything is Juilan's passion when it comes to his plans to protect our wildlife and our natural resources. All of our candidates have been stressing climate change, yes, but when it comes to our forests and the wildlife within them, both of which Trump is trying to decimate, Julian Castro, IMO, is the most outspoken candidate about reversing the damage that Trump has done, is doing, and will continue to do to the environment as long as he is in office.

BUT, Castro doesn't just TALK about the environment, climate change, the economy, guns, immigration, health care, etc. He has laid out specific plans on just how he will go about solving those issues. His plans to attack those issues, which are spelled out on his website, are very impressive.

Most importantly, I think he would be a much safer bet than Biden, Sanders, or even Warren. Besides several other reasons, he has none of the baggage that some of our more famous candidates have. If you do some research on Castro, you'll find that he is not only an amazing person, but he is incredibly intelligent, politically savvy, and he knows how to relate to Joe Voter in just about any situation. Plus, with his personality and charisma, he would be an awesome campaigner in a general presidential election, much more so than any of the current front runners. If Julian Castro had the same amount of name recognition as the other candidates, I think he'd cruise to the nomination easily. Hopefully that name recognition will come for him in due time.

If anyone is a young Obama-type star of the Democratic Party, I believe it's Castro, and I hope his star rises quickly enough so he gets nominated to be the person to kick Trump's ass, protect the environment, tackle gun control and immigration, etc, and solve all the other issues that need solving.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

He has a policy on animal welfare, too.

He's one of two candidates I support with small donations.

And my favorites don't necessarily include all the front runners. My DU primary choice at the moment is Steve Bennett, who, I'm afraid is not going to make the next debate final.
