thing the R's will go after and not let go of -- like John Kerry's windsurfing back in 04. They love to paint Dems with a broad brush as out of touch elitists. Plays right to their base. I agree. He should leave the polo label shirts at home.

Labeled clothing is also a status symbol for too many school aged children. We tried to raise our kids to understand that an equal or even better quality item can be had for less money. Money that can be put to better use, like contributing to charities.

I think role modeling by adults is very important for children. That's one of the things that makes me sick when I think of the current occupant of The White House and his daughter.

The size of Joe's or Pete's wardrobe isn't the point. As long as that wardrobe isn't full of clothing with billboards for companies that prey on non-union workers in foreign sweatshops is OK with me.

Pete does remind me of Obama in the early years wearing what seemed to be the same dark suit and dark tie everyday. I remember him even joking about it more than once.

sweatshop workers...drive through Georgia or parts of Virginia and look at the garment industry in ruins. So your attacking Joe for wearing polo is nonsense. NO matter how much you attack Joe, your candidate will not be the nominee. Of course if I am wrong, Mayor Pete has my vote.

Seems like any criticism of Joe by anyone is seen a an "attack".

The conditions in Georgia may be bad but they don't compare to the child labor conditions in India and other 3rd world countries.

everything. Georgia doesn't have any garment factories these days...they were shut down years ago...and garments are now made mostly overseas...very little is made here. I imagine the white shirts worn by your candidate were likely made in a third world hell hole that includes child labor...most are. The garment industry and electronics industry were the first victims of so called free trade. I referred to shuttered factories...in towns where folks still live in unimaginable poverty...as the jobs were not replaced.

Seriously though this just reeks of pettiness. Everyone know clothing and phones are made overseas as well as electronic...did you know those who make the I Phone and some Androids are kept prisoner basically and there are suicide nets to stop them from killing themselves. This is why I object to so called free trade...but has nothing to do with Biden's shirt.

I know it may sound petty to some. That's why the very first sentence of my original post began with "This is not a biggie".

My point is that while we don't have a much of a choice thee days we still don't have to wear their fucking labels. I don't buy a lot of clothing since I retired but when I did I always looked for a similar item without the label for others to see. I don't like being a billboard for companies that exploit workers. That is all.

My other point is that a lot of parents of school aged children can't afford the "top" or "in" brands like other more well off parents can. That is one thing I like abut Catholic school uniforms. It cuts out all the status bullshit to provide a better environment for learning for all the children, rich or poor.
