Texas Senate race is already going to be a hard sell. We already have a GREAT candidate in MJ Hegar, whom Beto has already endorsed and been assisting with her campaign. It would be a bad move for him, and us as a party to start a contentious Democratic Party Primary for that seat at this time.

MJ Hegar’s already drumming up a lot of energy here in Texas in her own right. This is my, personal, reason for being all in on Beto.. Him on the national ticket + her on the Senate could well flip texas and not only give us the Presidency, but as close as the Senate’s going to be this round, could also get Mitch out of the Senate Majority Leader chair.

primary today, I would vote for:

It bothers me. As much as *I* swear and curse, it still bothers me to see politicians do it. And in spite of all the fucks and shits that I type in this forum... in REAL LIFE... around REAL PEOPLE, that's not something that I do.

Trump started it, and some of them are following suit... which has the effect of "normalizing" Trump's foul mouth.

I expect our leaders to show some restraint and use their intellect and more thoughtful words to express their "righteous indignation". Why should our political leaders (and presidential hopefuls) stoop to his level and use his vulgar vocabulary?

I have no problem with it generally.

That said, I don't think it remotely compares to the foulness of 45's language. Beto is swearing out of frustration and anger. The language 45 uses is way more vulgar, because he makes degrading comments about women and minorities even if they're not technically curse words, and its only purpose is to degrade and foment hatred.

...because his polling is low is that these are the same people who will say the polls don't matter when it is convenient for their chosen candidate.

He is running a grass roots heavy campaign focusing on local people on the ground, hearing their hopes and fears, doing town halls and engaging in community events. Speaking with local media rather than hoping for a big cable news slot.

We're months away from the first votes ballots being cast. He should stay in because he can win this thing.

Beto articulated a cogent, comprehensive critique of all that Trump is, all that Republicans stand for, from
guns to anti-science, to the dismantling of democracy. This one will make the history books.
