Who do you think would be the toughest in standing up to a disgusting bully like Trump in 2020?

For example, which Democratic candidate or candidates do you think would most likely kick Trump's ass, one on one, during the 2020 debates, that is, if Trump has guts enough to participate in those debates?

(When I say "kick his ass" I'm talking figuratively of course, although I'm sure that any of our candidates, male or female, could easily settle the score with that punk if they met up with him in a dark alley somewhere.)

Which candidates do you think would most effective in pasting the bully but good during the debates or anywhere else on the campaign trail if the asshole happens to insult them, which I'm sure he will?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

well while doing so.

As to who could stand up effectively to Trump while also coming off to those who do not already back them as "positive", I think Harris, Biden, Sanders and probably Warren and Klobuchar. Though I do not support her, Tulsi Gabbard might likewise do well. Ditto DeBlasio. Maybe Bullock.

As to who could readily stand up to him, but Trump might be effective in casting "doubt", Buttigieg, Beto, Booker, Gillibrand, Tom Steyer, Castro, Hickenlooper.

Those who I think might have both trouble effectively laying "punches" and who Trump could readily dispatch: Bennet, Williamson, Gravel.

Not sure about the others...

In fact, I think Gabbard might actually be one of the strongest candidates we could put against Trump. Some of the things that turn a lot of DUers off to Gabbard are things that would actually make her more appealing outside the Dem base.

he is a lousy debater.. but a world class bully.. you cannot prosecute your way through anything with him.. no one should try and play his game.. he is without a center.. what has to stand, is can this person clean up the mess he is leaving us.. EVERYONE knows he is leaving the country in a mess..

There is no kicking ass with this guy.. you cannot settle scores with the punk.. you will not even be able to paste him up against the wall he is that slippery..

What you want is a person who stands on their own.. their values and our values shine through and you have someone people will go towards to vote for..

Someone who knows how to let Trump chew his own tail off..

No one is going to "kick his ass". Debates won't matter. It is liking having an argument with a person under the influence of alcohol. You are never going to win that argument. Everything is already baked in with Trump. No new atrocity matters. We need a candidate who is inspirational and comfortable in his or her own shoes. A majority of Americans see Trump for the fraud he is. What we need is a candidate who inspires that majority to VOTE. If they do. We win.

and I do not want to ever lose to a punk/bully like Trump again.

You can fight back without resorting to bully-like tactics, and if we don't have someone who is tough enough to fight back and stand up stand up to the bully when necessary, then we'll be looking at 4 more years of Trump.

that he's desperate.

But all of our candidates could win a debate with him.

I'd say Biden has the best chance of not only standing up to Trump but still showing his sense of humor, warmth, and decency. I think he'd probably be laughing at Trump at times.

Harris would probably be the most brutal, Biden and Sanders hard hitting in a more old school way, and Harris more incisive. Whoever wins, it will be excellent seeing one of our team getting the opportunity to go toe to toe with the racist-clown-in-chief though and bring him down a peg or three.
