There's an old fire service expression, "Right behind you. Cappy!"
It means that if an order is unlikely enough to kill firefighters to be obeyed, the person who's giving it should lead the way.
We now have a Chief Executive who says
(1) asylum-seekers from Central America who say they fear for their lives are telling a "big, fat con," and that
(2) Democratic congresswomen who criticize him should "go back where they came from."
As the four Congresswomen fingered are 75% native-born Americans (a phenomenal landslide margin), he must have meant they should be sent back to the countries from which their forebears immigrated.
"Right behind you, Captain Bonespur," should be their answer.
Of course, in Mr. Trump's case that's a problem. The country his grandfather fled to dodge the draft is Germany, a country that was de-Nazified following World War II. It's unlikely Trump could win approval from German immigration authorities after a background check
This provides the perfect chance for Mr. Trump to prove he's NOT the lying coward a lot of people say he is, by returning to one of the Central American countries refugees are fleeing, and spending a full night on city streets without his security detail or a local police detachment.
I've sent an e-mail proposing that to the White House. I promised that if Trump follows this plan, he won't lose a reelection bid in 2020.
Any Democratic candidate who will jump on this "Send Trump to Honduras" bandwagon will get my vote.

(37 posts)A radio talk show host said my proposal to send Trump to Honduras is "Extreme."
Not so!
No one would claim there's anything "extreme" about wandering the streets of Oslo or Bergen at night without bodyguards, and Norway's the Country Trump says he wants to get immigrants from.
If asylum-seekers are lying about the danger in their country of origin, as Trump claims, he should be happy to prove them liars and himself an honest man, by wandering the streets of Tegucigalpa or Danli without bodyguards.
If he refuses, HE'S the "big, fat con" he accuses the asylum-seekers of peddling.
Abraham Lincoln was "extreme" enough to expose himself to fire from Confederate sharpshooters at Fort Stevens (11 July 1864). proving he was fit to lead troops in a war by sharing their hazard -- and remember what a conspicuous target he made standing on that parapet in his stovepipe hat!
Either Trump accepts this invitation to prove his manhood or he admits he's a phony. And if he admits he's a phony, what do his apologists have to admit about themselves?
