Some DUers will never be satisfied. Hope we get it together once we have a nominee for the general election.

(12,165 posts)It makes DU more tolerable to block some folks.
It was just making me angry to see so many Pelosi-bashing threads, 'splains and a lot of other things that weren't making my experience here a good one. I think Harris' strategic approach is quite brilliant and it exists beyond an exchange at the debate. Harris is building a coalition of voters. She will focus on each part of the coalition as the primary moves forward. It's smart and people who dismiss it as racist are either threatened by it or are not curious enough to take a closer look. It's at their peril, though. Obama won through a coalition of passionate people... not trying to appeal to everyone, which is impossible.
Warren is taking the populist route, which is proving to be effective for her, too.
There's so much negativity around primary time. I stopped visiting DU during the Sanders/Clinton race because it was so difficult to talk about anything without someone swooping in to disrupt. There have been many improvements since then that have made DU a hundred percent better, though.
Still, life is too short to read one idea or topic over and over again. I was becoming snarky, and it wasn't a good look for me.
And agree... the beat goes on whether or not I'm there to see it.
