Mayor Pete is proposing a program of national service to get one million....

....people involved in solving national issues, like climate change and elder care.
Great idea. How will the right attack this I wonder?

I know how to both pronounce and spell his name and it really wasn't a bother to learn either one. Why would you assume otherwise?

....where he has distributed signs that say "PETE" to his supporters, you will find evidence that he doesn't find it either juvenile or ridiculous. We all have opinions and yours will be considered.

&t=10s

Do you remember seeing his name listed among the first dozen or so candidates that had declared their candidacy? This would be before anyone had heard of him or seen his face. My first reaction to the name Buttigieg was that it may be something of a liability for him in that some people might find it too odd. His campaign, and Pete himself in his interviews, seem to acknowledge that when he says "just call me "Mayor Pete".
