Donald Trump and the political action committees for Mitch McConnell, Marco Rubio, Scott Walker, Lindsey Graham, John Kasich and John McCain accepted $7.35 million in contributions from a Ukrainian-born oligarch who is the business partner of two of Russian president Vladimir Putin's favorite oligarchs and a Russian government bank.
Marco Rubio's Conservative Solutions PAC and his Florida First Project received $1.5 million through Blavatnik's two holding companies. Other high dollar recipients of funding from Blavatnik were PACS representing Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker at $1.1 million, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham at $800,000, Ohio Governor John Kasich at $250,000 and Arizona Senator John McCain at $200,000.
This is surely part of the reason republicans refuse to stand against trump and Russia.
This article is old but still relevant. Not sure why this is never reported on main stream media.

2016 elections and Donald Trump[edit]
A group associated with the Kochs announced plans to raise $889 million leading up to the 2016 elections.[46][47][48] After the Republican primary, they decided to not donate to Trump's campaign at all, instead focusing on the Congress and Senate races.[49] Charles Koch criticized Trump's Muslim travel ban suggestions during the campaign and said "it's possible" that Hillary Clinton could be a better president, although strongly denied rumours that he would actually support Clinton.[50][51] In June 2018, the Kochs backed a multimillion-dollar campaign organized by three pro-free trade political groups to oppose the Trump tariffs.[52]

(2,208 posts)Stuff about oligarchs like the Koch Brothers gets reported, but it's reported like once then the matter gets dropped.
Things unfavorable to the rich buying political favors do not get amplified in the media. Not at all.

(4,007 posts)from ANY foreign entities, oligarchs, banks aligned with ANY foreign power and even more safeguards to prevent Russkie or other foreign monies from being shuttled (and hidden from our view) via the Kochs, the NRA or other winger-affiliated groups. This need to be at the top of our agenda.

(42,554 posts)In the video, an operative from the James OKeefe-led Project Veritas approaches a Hillary for America booth manned by officials Molly Barker and Erin Tibe, when she notices the woman next to her get turned away from making a donation because she is a Canadian citizen.
Sure, so we cant take contributions from anyone that is not a citizen of the United States, Tibe tells the woman who is only identified as a Montreal native.
The undercover Project Veritas journalist then offered to serve as a middleman in the transaction, accepting the Canadian citizens money and handing it over to the campaign in exchange for merchandise.
OKeefe said the video is evidence of Clinton campaign officials violating the federal election law that prohibits political campaigns from accepting donations from a foreign national directly or indirectly.
