Democratic Primaries

Time to make it official..
I love Bernie, but Elizabeth Warren really does have all the answers and it's way past time for a woman president.
Edited to add: My second choice is whoever gets our nomination!

(7,553 posts)There is a thread on a new Quinnipiac poll where she is second. She is ahead of Sanders and the Harris and Pete boomlets seem to be cooling.
Nice to see a person of accomplishments and thoughtful policy proposals getting some traction.

(26,676 posts)First time my husband and I agree on a primary candidate since Obama, 2008. Kind of nice.
He hates politics, but loves Warren since he saw her on a business panel a few years ago. He even bought her book. He pretty much thinks she's right about everything and I agree.

(7,553 posts)I'm kind of old-fashioned I guess in caring about candidates' policy positions and experience (and to me that is unfortunate) but she also offers likeability and energy, even at her age for the latter. I like Biden too and for me those two are way ahead of the rest in terms of the whole package.

Like you, I will support whoever gets the Dem nomination in the GE.

(31,418 posts)I fear that with the level of misogyny in the country and the existence of the Electoral College, she doesn't stand a chance to win the election.
I really believe we're in a terrible mess in this country and I don't know if we are going to come out of it in my lifetime.
I'm beginning to think that Biden is the pragmatic choice--although he is way too centrist for my taste--and we need Elizabeth Warren in the Senate given the chance that we just might be able to turn it blue, too.

(1,096 posts)don't vote for him. That wouldn't make sense. And if 2018 taught us anything, it's that centrist is not where the American people are right now.
I love and contribute to both Elizabeth and Bernie.
