Military to conduct training around Guam, Marianas next week

The military will be conducting live-fire training on Guam next week and residents shouldn’t be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity.

The Navy will conduct training near Agat Bay and Outer Apra Harbor from 2 to 11 p.m. Sept. 21, 23 and 27, and from 1 to 11:55 p.m. Sept. 25-26. The public is advised to be aware of the training and to remain clear of units in the area.

The Navy will conduct training in Dandan-Malojloj and Radio Barrigada from 2 to 11 p.m. Sept. 21 and 23, from 1 to 11:55 p.m. Sept. 25 and from 2 to 11:55 p.m. Sept. 27, and from 1 to 11:55 p.m. Sept. 26.

The Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean 13 ̊26''N/145 ̊08''E, 13 ̊42''N/144 ̊36'' from 2 to 11 p.m. Sept. 21, 23 and 27 and from 1 to 11:55 p.m. Sept. 25-26.Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area and monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast for advisories.

The Marine Corps will conduct live-fire exercises in Warning Area 13 and Farallon de Medinilla from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 26-27. Marine vessels are advised to remain 12 nautical miles clear around Farallon de Medinilla for the duration and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast for advisories.

The Navy will also conduct live fire exercises in Warning Area 13 and Farallon de Medinilla from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 26-27. Marine vessels are advised to remain 12 nautical miles clear around Farallon de Medinilla for the duration of these events and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast for advisories.
