Let me get this straight...It's "Mrs Greenspan" only when you have something positive to say??

We all have been told that it is misogynistic to call Andrea Mitchell "Mrs. Greenspan", when we are referring to her by that name to point out the connections she has to the establishment and her husband's policies.

A few choice quotes:

3. I think it's better to leave it alone, so that the actual misogyny can be seen, there

is so very much of it, hence wall the pre-emptive whining about misogyny. That thread really did shed light on the level of thinking that's going on here. It's sad when women also engage in misogyny.

1. The ever-present casual sexism of American society.

Pease keep calling it out - that is how we will learn to recognize and change our behavior!

I was glad to see several Hillary supporters standing up for this point. Someone (not me, I rarely alert) alerted but the jury, of course, let it stand

People can dislike her, but she has been an accomplished journalist before she married.

But then I ran across this post from the HCS site. Why is it that calling her Mrs. Greenspan to point out her obvious biases is sexism and misogyny from BernieBros but hillary clinton supporters are allowed to say it as well??

We all know that insults will be dispensed solely on the basis of whom one supports. When someone calls you names to try and silence you, that means you have won and they have no real argument. It is unfortunate that the DU jury system has been so abused, but it doesn't make it any more productive to waste time calling out hypocrisy.

They also would have no clue Andrea Mitchell is married to him. I, for many, many years, didn't know they were married. I call her Mrs. Greenspan AS AN INSULT to a RW hack and to connect her to her husband's disastrous economic policies. Then younger people can Google Greenspan and read all about the jerk.

If someone takes that as a personal insult and is upset by it... That's just fucking weird.

Seriously, if I used my birth name, I wouldn't give two hoots what you call a corrupt RW hack! Why the hell do I care what you call Andrea Mitchell?

I saw that thread and ignored it because I thought it was RIDICULOUS. She's extra touchy about using her own last name....for whatever reason. I really don't care what she thinks.

Just because she has issues with using her own last name, doesn't give her the right to tell anyone else what they can and can't say about MRS. GREENSPAN. I'd say that's Her problem to work out. Mrs. Greenspan does NOT deserve my respect and she's not getting it. I don't care that she was an accomplished journalist before she married the man! Deal with it! But don't tell me what I can or cannot call a CORRUPT RIGHT WING HACK. Sheesh. Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill!

It's NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING MISOGYNISTIC.

Adj. 1. misogynistic - hating women in particular misogynistic - hating women in particular

First of all, I don't hate Mrs. Greenspan. I don't like her, but I don't hate her. I don't dislike her because she's a woman. I don't like her because she's a corrupt RW hack who is married to the man whose economic policies damn near destroyed this country.

Hillpack will whine and complain about anything! They're best IGNORED.
