Judging by last night's threads, apparently, many thought it was like New Year's Eve.

Come to think of it, nothing actually happens at midnight on New Year's Eve, either, so it was indeed a lot like that.

At 1:15 a.m. Eastern time, though, Fumesucker started a great thread. http://www.democraticunderground.com/12512207046

And the start of the summer solstice was marked with a full moon and a strawberry moon, which are rare for the summer solstice. So, there was that.

Marvin Gaye was a co-author of that song!

According to Tina Turner, Jagger asked her to teach him to dance, so she taught him the Pony and 'he's been Ponying ever since." (James Brown also had only one dance, but he worked the beejesus out of it.)

think it would.

I don't like to make predictions, but I think we well may lose more liberal posters to bans. As it is, quite a few have left in the last week or two.

I could see myself getting banned based on some of the reality challenged posts that have turned up in my last few threads.
I think some of the PUMAs will get unhinged when the mass purge doesn't happen.

PS, love Queen! One of my favorites from their late catalogue
