Very important to keep relevant information out of the loop, so that those who want to stay in a bubble don't have to be inconvenienced by finding out what others are saying. Above all, no one here must be inconvenienced by the Truth.

(10,336 posts)At least, that is my understanding of the situation. Do you have a jury black list made up on your profile?

(14,177 posts)It is extremely traumatic to see that FOX News covers this and no one else not even to at least show it's not true. You would think that MSM would at least want to investigate to see if FOX is lying. But, they don't and their silence on the issue to me tells me they think it's true.

(24,411 posts)I remember reading about this many months ago.
An article from Politico reports that Bill Clinton flew on "at least 10 trips" on Epstein's planes.
There are other sources. I noticed that when I tried to find previous articles, that much of the earlier reporting has been hidden. I am sure that the Clintons have cleaned up the articles related to Epstein and Bill. That's easily done with a reputation-management or PR firm. You can easily make negative articles drop off from Google searches and other articles rise to the top. That's a fairly standard procedure in the PR world.
Politico
Press reports have noted that Bill Clinton, as well as actors Kevin Spacey and Chris Tucker, used Epstein's private 727 to travel to Africa in 2002 for a Clinton Foundation tour of AIDS-fighting and development work. Flight logs filed in connection with another lawsuit show at least 10 journeys by Clinton on Epstein's planes.

(9,688 posts)The topic is way too reminiscent of Trump's antics (tho' of course not identical in detail).
Good Dems will apply that kind of condemnatory thinking to Trump, not Clinton.
Good Dems won't acknowledge that these facts exist, or for that matter any other facts.
Good Dems will be governed by emotion and, well, #sheswithher

(32,324 posts)As Bernie Supporters, we need to focus with laser beam intensity on the fact that it is all already
in place.
What has taken place ALREADY to allow a fairly unknown Senator from a very small state to be front and center and taking control - these things are just short of miraculous!
And these things that have occurred are because of extremely potent Collective Manifestations that have been in progress for a long time.
The moment right now is ours.
There are things that will unfold at the very last minutes to set the nation on a new course.
But how scary it is for those whose allegiance has been intertwined with that of the Oligarchs.
Remember, whether it is some small furry animal or a human being, when a mammal is scared they tend to make noise. (A lot of it, too.)
We should not react to such noise, whether it is a post here on DU hidden by jury decision, or the continual blaring of the Talking Heads as they continually proclaim this or that about Hill or Donny, while ignoring or castigating Bernie.
Let the noise be just that. Try and not react. Above all, remember that a lot of people will join us, so no real need to be angry at people. They will eventually get over themselves and come aboard.

(9,688 posts)It has to, so it will.
I have no hope that anything good will come of the Democratic or Republican parties.
Even if Sanders wins.
The Democratic and Republican parties are corrupt to the bone (and have been for decades), and at the meta-level of $ they are identical, colluding at playing the identical game by the identical rules. In fact they have made this exact duopoly a pattern imposed on client states like Columbia, and other countries that the US forcefully "re-democratizes" after a coup.
Hey, it's all cool.
Nothing, not even a Sanders win, can on its own counter that. Even were Sanders to win, after which he would be opposed by the entire D&R establishment, and if he could brilliantly overcome that, his administration would be in a shitstorm of "capital strikes" and etc. that would follow. The USA has never seen anything close to what the MSM would do to discredit a Sanders administration 24/7/52. The US hasn't seen anything even remotely on the same wavelength, since the US is totally closed to anything but D's and R's playing their game. Everything that's been worked through in overthrowing lesser economies which dared to go "socialist" - that is part of the *customary* US playbook - would be used. Everything.
And US Americans have hardly thought about this. They haven't considered that it might hit home.
I imagine that in a couple hundred years, if humanity survives, this 20/21 century cusp of US military hegemony over the planet will be studied with interest.
Interesting times.

(35,788 posts)That we have a leader with a sense of morality like Bernie. Every day, as more and more is revealed about Trump and Clinton, he is the stunning and stark contrast. It is all the more remarkable because he has been this way all his life.
I'm with you on how events will unfold at the last moments.

(81 posts)I was a lifelong conservative. I voted for Reagan twice and so on. But I allowed the logic of Bernie's arguments to sink in. Once that happened I realized I align myself now with Progressives. I actually admire them for their cool and their sensible reasoning. I am on board. You are right there will be more like me. They are coming I promise.

(45,251 posts)The hosts can, however, decide about meta, which can lead to a lock anywhere on the board, except for ATA, where the post may or may not remain forever concealed, and in groups.
And, while the admins are no longer handing out suspensions for hides, they can ban for hides or put your account under review for any period of time, from a few hours to forever.
IMO, a decent juror will give content in a protected group at least a bit more leeway than he or she otherwise might. Some DUers, however, are bound and determined that nothing even a little negative toward Hillary or her chances at the Oval Office should be on the board and jury selection is the luck of the draw--at least in theory.
The group is also protected in the sense that hosts can lock a thread or block a poster pretty much at will. Disagreement that would be allowed elsewhere is not allowed in groups.
Hope this helps.
