Talk me down~~VP seems to me to be a way to suppress the revolution

VPs are expected to be supportive of the policies of the administration. Not that they have to go and sell it, but when asked by a member of the press the VP cannot state an opposing view than that of the administration without causing a giant shit-storm. The press will not focus on the actual policy disagreement, it would be all about drama.

Am I wrong?

A VP who agrees with the Third Way, like Tim Kaine, would be - from Hillary's standpoint - a great pick. Picking Bernie or Warren as VP would just be pandering for our votes and a way to get either one out of the Senate. Castro is a member of the New Democrat Coalition - which is advised by the Third Way. In fact, I would be surprised if her VP pick was not a member of the NDC.

no matter who is running in the Democratic Party 2016. Keep in mind Trump's policies and statements against persons from Mexico. Castro is third way which means he has little in common with issues of the poor, in my opinion. Texas has a large population of poor people living in it. Many too poor to be insured by ACA.

Their only functions are to cast a vote in the Senate if there is a tie and to fill in if the president is incapacitated. So the candidate presumably will pick someone who will vote along their party lines and who would govern more or less their way as president. For the campaign they are merely window dressing. Sarah Palin horrified people because she's an idiot and she could have become president, but she was chosen because McCain thought she'd bring him some wingnut votes (and she probably did, but fortunately not enough). (Hillary will likely pick another corporate tool like herself because she doesn't want an actual progressive out there making her look like a corporate tool.)

head of the Senate Finance committee. I can't think of a greater waste of a progressive than to have him or Warren as VP. They can accomplish much more where they are. If Hillary wanted to completely neutralize Bernie picking him as her VP would be the way to go.

...but the idea of Bernie as VP has been floated. I have been uneasy about the idea, and wanted to see how others thought about it.

It would not due to have your VP, come out flat out and speak against you.

Corporate Oligarchy. Is what will be pushed nonstop for the next decade.

With Bread and Circuses for the increasingly destitute 80%.

All telling us how great things are and how great the employment situation is.

tonight and tomorrow, then Oregon and California next. Handwringing accomplishes nothing. I will follow Bernie's lead, wherever it may go.
