1. Hard to tell - I think some just like spewing lies. I amazed they think it would work.

If someone is on the internet, and read that crap, they are likely going to look stuff up.

I just put them on ignore. My grandson says Redditors are aware of this, too.

Most of them are about as subtle as a hippo taking a leak.

They may have some effect among low info types, but on a politically sophisticated board like DU they stand out like a sore boil. Essentially they're preaching to the choir.

"Bernie is delusional -- he's misleading his supporters!" posting jag in the last 12 hours.

It's as if they're scared of something.

My Full Ignore list is getting VERY long!

10. There are a lot of low-post count Hillary supporters all of a sudden

I seem to have been running into quite a few of them, so my guess is some substantial percentage of them are working for and probably being paid to work for her campaign or one of her stupor PAC's.

11. I agree. I just ignore them. But it is revolting.

And not surprising in the least. I cannot understand why they think this stuff will work - seems like they just revel in the opportunity to be nasty with no repercussions. If I met one in "real life", I wouldn't have it in my home. Ugh.

12. I think it's more about convincing casual readers than real progressives
Mon May 2, 2016, 10:08 AM

They want pro-Hillary posts online countering any narrative that goes against her. They probably don't expect to convince anyone they are arguing with, but they want to have a refutation in the conversation for all the people who are reading the thread. Many casual readers are probably less informed and the sock technique might actually be effective with some of them, which is why I sometimes respond to counter the presumed socks. They usually end up on ignore after a pointless exchange.

OK, so it's Left Wing Propaganda...

NO, she needs people on the left to voter for her...
