Related: About this forumDU Bernie Group beats expectations and raises $5,542 in just 60 days on Act Blue!
Congratulations everyone.
Over the last two months, the members of DU have raised $5,542.00 from 195 total donations.
That equals an average per donation of $28.42 and an average per day of $92.37.
During the first 30 days we raised $2626.04 from a total 63 donations.
The minimum donation that could be made is $1.00. We have had a couple donations for under $2.00 showing us that even people on a tight budget want to help. Our highest single donation was $500.00.
Unlike Act Blues average, our donations have remained rock steady and brought in almost $300 more this month:

I'm proud of the work we've done here. Sanders supporters put their money where their mouths are and Bernie's worth the investment!

DU's Bernie supporters are willing to travel to see him and volunteer as well as donate.

We have overcome issues of trust and misunderstanding how Act Blue Works. Many donations from DUers didn't even go through our link.
I think this truly shows how important we the people are in this upcoming presidential election. Sanders is not taking PAC money or billions from Wall Street banks or investment firms. He is running his campaign on the donations given by us, the supposed little people.
Every dollar counts. So let's keep up the momentum and see how we do next month!

I am also going to cross post this to GD-P as the first round of FEC filings will be released here shortly.
Again, way to go everyone!

(8,352 posts)Act Blue simply allows for an online method of federally acceptable grassroots donations to be set up to go directly to Democratic candidates.
So our particular DU group is but one of many that are using these method to raise funds for Sanders campaign.

Q:
How can I request a check/get my money faster?
A:
If you receive checks from us, just give us a call. We can cut and mail you a check any day of the week containing funds raised through midnight of the day before.
If youre working on a large campaign or organization thats raising over $5,000 every day, we may be able to offer you wire transfers. Just contact our customer service team at info@actblue.com or give us a call at 617-517-7600.
If you have a merchant account, we're already getting your funds to you as fast as possible. Because we act as a conduit, we process hundreds of thousands of dollars on a daily basis. We leverage the amount of money that we move to get fast processing times and great rates from our bank.
As of this moment Act Blue has raised $767,263,370 ONLINE SINCE 2004 just for Democrats.

(22,271 posts)yesterday. Countless e-mails a day asking me for money and apparently, completely unaware that I already contribute to Bernie's campaign monthly. They're sewing resentment for the candidate and they need to back off. A LOT!

(8,352 posts)they did that.
I only use the links provided here and those sent by the Sanders campaign.
That's too bad, because this is an excellent way to do grassroots fund raising.

(18,791 posts)I feel guilty not doing it for our DU group, so promise to give a few additional bucks occasionally.
It's not so much the money as it's that I'm so damned slow/forget to do it.
Bravo to all that have given.

(56 posts)I set up a monthly donation for him, but I do check my balance from time to time and see if I can throw him a dollar or two. It counts!
