Chuklesome moment

So I'm sitting here with my keyboard and monitor and a view just beyond of our California back yard - awash in a veritable rainbow of blooming flowers. It's beautiful - believe me. And between posts, I look out and see a sparrow land on a lawn chair and survey the yard for anything edible. I realize right then - I can never look at one of these little brown birds again with the same eyes as I used to. The Bernie-Birdie moment has forever colored my perception of these otherwise anonymous creatures.
Diehard Atheist (hey - those words seem right together! LOL) that I am, I'm wary of assigning meaning to anything as random as Bernie's drop-in guest. But still..... Idiot lottery player that I am, I can't help but hope it was more than simple chance.

A bird was perched on a Bernie yard sign.

I have 2 stickers displayed.

I have given away 2 stickers.

I try to spread the word about Bernie without

being intrusive.

I know it can be a big disappointment to believe

and trust a politician, but I adore Bernie.

He has earned my trust.

He has earned my respect.

Given the chance, he will fight like hell for us.

it wasn't the bird; it was Senator Sanders' reaction. He was charmed (pun intended) and very possibly moved by that tiny creature. He's a tough street fighter, but he's also a man with a generous heart and imagination.

I'll say again. He's a mensch.

I was on the back porch, which s partially screened, feeling kind of down because i had been listening to the usual pundit garbage about Hillary will be the nominee....sometimes that just gets me down. So all of a sudden here is this little Bernie bird, flying around on the porch, and sometimes sitting and then flying around again and then sitting again. i was amazed, and I felt better immediately. It just seemed so odd for that little guy to show up like that. It has never happened before. It made my day.
