Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumBernie beat the polling estimates in NC, IL & MO
Pollster.com / Actual / Difference (H-B):
NC: 54.8-34.6 / 54.6-40.8 / +6.4
IL: 48.8-41.1 / 50.5-48.7 / +5.9
MO: 46.5-43.5 / 49.6-49.4 / +2.8
OH: 53.3-41.5 / 56.5-42.7 / -1.6
FL: 60.3-32.3 / 64.5-33.3 / -3.2
Bernie got more than 80% of the undecideds (on average) in NC, IL and MO and beat the polls by an average 5.03% combined in those three states.
Not too surprisingly, the more heavily-polled states of OH and FL had the most accurate predictions for Bernie's percentages - MI was also heavily-polled, however, so we can't necessarily assume this will always be the case.
AZ is anyone's guess... WA will be heavily Sanders if I know my fellow Washingtonians; WI is starting to look good for Bernie. Why no polls in NY, are they just assuming that's a safe HRC state? After WA and WI, NY and PA are gonna be the big deals coming up. We have six weeks to make up 20 points in PA. The momentum is still there, but will it be enough?
If not, well... it's been nice knowing you all.

(26,676 posts)Democratic assembly last night as an alternate for Bernie. 60+ good Democrats there, 2/3's for Bernie. Most in their late twenties, early thirties, worried about our future, as they should be, and stepping up to work for Dems in Colorado. We might even turn the Board of CU Regents blue.. imagine having a university board that actually believes in climate change!
Without Bernie, I think the same 20 people would have shown up and done our thankless work for our tiny group of county Dems and probably sent all 12 delegates to the state convention for Hillary. I appreciate all of them, but getting a crowd is great and it's all because of Bernie. These are the Democrats who didn't vote in 2014.

(1,250 posts)Last night should have been better.
And if he won 3 states yesterday, the media couldn't write him off anymore.
Because of how last night went, the media drumbeat to bury Bernie will get even stronger.
So we must counter that & keep upsetting Hillary by big margins in the remaining states.
We gotta edge her out in New York & landslide her in every remaining state available.
We won't get Maryland or Delaware since they're in the South or near-South but we can try to get it closer like we did in North Carolina.
We must push his strength in the Plains states, the Mountain states, & DEFINITELY the West Coast states.
We cap this off with the BIGGEST West Coast state & state period California.
The marijuana vote is one thing we need to court.
Get Snoop Dogg on the phone! Or Snoop Lion if he prefers!
Let Hillary get complacent as she focuses on Trump & we'll wipe her out in the remaining states until we get this nomination.

(3,557 posts)I live just a little south of Rhinebeck (where HRC lives) and all I see in this area are Bernie bumper stickers. I haven't seen a single HRC one. Everyone I talk to around me is pro-Bernie or a republican. Nobody admits to supporting HRC.

(5,668 posts)had MO at 9 point difference and had it as MO the least likely state to be in play. Instead it was the most state in play
and for all the rush in the world for ILL she had a net gain of 1 delegate in ILL 68 to 67 thats gonna hurt.. For a state that wasn't supposed to be in play and I bet MO is tied since Obama beat her by 2 points in 2008 and it was tied.
or.. wtf She won MO by 1300 votes but it's still 99 % in okay no wonder MO hasn't been called yet. Neither for Republican or Democrat hmmm right now she's ahead 1300 votes but he has 32 delegates and she has 31 O_O someones gonna get miffed about that number. It's bound to be a tie in the end...

Really weird looking at that map and knowing IA was a virtual tie as much as a tie could be yet it's Bluer (Clinton ) than either MO or IL. as in most of the states voted for Bernie in those two, but the biggest cities were the deciding factor
