BIG sales on discounted pot in CA this weekend.

Six months after California made recreational marijuana use legal, the so-called "Weed Apocalypse" arrives this weekend, as tight state regulations going into effect on Sunday have dispensaries scrambling to unload non-compliant product.

But while the deadline is giving pot shop owners headaches, it is creating an opportunity for consumers. They are already anticipating deep discounts on their favorite marijuana products on what has been dubbed "Green Saturday" - for the color of cannabis - and for black market dealers.
"There's going to be a lot of massive sales, a lot of retails fire-selling a lot of products," said Nick Danias, manager of The Pottery cannabis dispensary in mid-city Los Angeles.

… a few of the med stores closed up due to none compliance...had a HUGE sale.. I got oil cartridges for 20$ a gram. But things will even out and prices will stabilize. We've had legal pot for almost 6 yrs (voted to legalize it the same night Obama was re-elected!..and we legalized same sex marriage in the state as well. It was a GREAT night!). Not a lot of med stores still open as the prices are so good. I get an oz of Bango for 70$...sometimes for as low as 56$ and oz. an the corner 'mom and pot' shop.

due to impossible regulations. The dispensaries are few but large. The city makes them change the various taxes weekly too since this is a new business and is still messed up.

...our town has the largest square footage dispensary in the state and I have been there once. I like the coziness of the smaller stores.

But, I will anyway.

I've had a 215 card for many years.

The dispensaries where I live could really care less about it
They no longer give discounts to people with AIDS, cancer and MS at all but one dispensary. If you qualify, you must give them all sorts of documents re: your life, what you do, who you live with and what church you attend, and other questions like "Do you have any friends?".

I find this to be just a bit too nosy. What if they get popped by Sessions et al.?

I told them to forget it, that is what I have done.

I wish I had not bothered to spend $100 to renew my card.

I think the system sucks as it now stands.

People that set the stage for recreational use in California (the 215 patients) have been left behind. It angers me more than just a bit because if it weren't for the brave 215 patients that set an example of how cannabis can be properly managed and used have been forgotten and left behind. Shame on these greedy people. They want it all for themselves and they have very short memories.

There are special discounts and deals, lower/different taxes and a shorter, no wait line to stand in. They have changed since Jan when CA passed legalized recreational weed. The taxes have been fluctuating since then as have some prices. The questions for the med card were are the same as they have been for the last 6 years and are NOT like the ones you were asked in your state.

Where are you?

I got screwed, that's all I know.

Disgusting.

Would you have answered those questions if lucky you have AIDS, cancer or MS?

I'll never be desperate enough to answer of these Nazi garbage questions for a discount! I've been played, I figured that out already and no, it is none of their business and those specific questions re: my husband, my household status and whether or not I go to church for fucks sake are beyond the pale and irrelevant at best! They are just collecting information if you have not figured that out yet!

the years for my med card, which is legit. I have to fill out the exact same questionnaire with each doctor and none of the questions are ever personal and NOT like what you mentioned. That is bizarre and sounds illegal.

8. The dispensary is asking these questions

The doctor already sent the forms back telling them what my needs are.

And then they come up with this B.S. (the dispensary that is). Hence, the 215 card is useless as the dispensary is saying, "It should have always been legal.". It is maddening as they have big huge handicap parking spots in front, etc. but do nothing at all to help those that are disabled.

End of story.

I giant f/u to those that got this whole thing going in 1995!

How soon they forget.
