I use Firefox to read DU, and I have the NoScript add-on. I ran CCleaner today, which clears my cache and gets rid of garbage that builds up on my computer. Now when I view the DU homepage everything is in a long one column string. There's no more videos on the right hand side, etc.
Every other site I visit looks the same as it always did after I log in. Anybody know what I did, and how I can correct it? Thanks in advance for any advice.

(68,644 posts)I usually have Safari, Firefox, and SeaMonkey running simultaneously.
It wouldn't slow you down to much to run a different browser with scripts enabled.
Other than that, I have no suggestions.

(267 posts)Strange that it worked before though, and I did try allowing all of the scripts for the DU homepage. Most of the time NoScript helps things load faster for me. That's why I like it, and that it blocks a lot of ads.
Thanks for the reply, and hello from our state capitol.

(267 posts)I don't know what I did to screw it up, and I don't know what I did to fix it. Computers sure are fun!
Thanks to anyone else who was about to give me advice.

(112,570 posts)with these add-ons:
Adblock 2.6.3
NoScript 2.6.8.28
Stop Tony Meow 1.0
Tile Tabs 1.9
The Stop Tony Meow replaces any photo with Abbott in the tag with a picture of a cute kitty. It was originally meant to ban pictures of Tony Abbott, but I'm using it so I don't see the mug of GOP guv candidate Greg Abbott.
The Tile Tabs add-on is nice because it allow you to tile various tabs on your display screen and also set up duplicate tabs. It's very helpful if you want to monitor more than one Webpage at a time or if you are copying and pasting between two different pages.
FWIW, I bet that you fixed your issue when you reloaded the DU page.

(267 posts)I actually had to close Firefox completely and restart it. Then everything was normal again, but I'm pretty sure I had already tried that before I made my post.
That tile tabs add-on sounds cool. I'll have to try it out. Thanks.
