Hmmm.. Having trouble changing my avatar image.

First try failed because the image was in a svg? format, so I converted it in MS Paint to .jpeg. I do the browse > I select the image @ 1.94 kbs> and the file name appears next to browse button. > I select upload > and everything remains the same.

I'm kinda scratching my head on this one.
BTW: I'm doing this from my desktop gaming rig, running a high end intel chip, 16gb ram, and Windows 7 home premium.

The image was downloaded from a wiki site. What I need to do is to download it in a 48x48 pixle size with the image centered within that field. How would I go about putting that image in an appropriate sized field via MS Paint.
Thanks for the response TT

go to the View tab and select the ruler command. If there is a choice of which measurement units appears, then select pixels.

Paste the image into Paint. Go to the Home menu and the image choices should appear that will allow you to select or reduce the size to the 48 x 48 pixel limit. Note that you will lose a significant amount of data so some distortion may affect the image.
