How can I stop ....

... the drop down box that shows up when I start typing in the thread title box? Its "saved" every one I've replied to and its getting mighty long. (and annoying!) You know.... like the "suggestions" in a browser as you start typing in a search. Thank you in advance!

1. What browlser are you using?

I never get that in Firefox. You might need to make some adjustments to your browser. Cleaning out the cache, cookies and history can help. Also look at your addons/widgets/whatever. A dodgy website could have slipped something in there when you weren't looking, that happened to me once.

I don't get any helpful suggestions in "search," either.

2. Its just in here...

I clean my cookies and cache on my browser(s) 2 or 3 times a day. It only happens "here", I've turned off suggestions in both my main browsers. Firefox and Edge browsers btw.

and do check your addons for anything that looks unfamiliar, that you can't remember adding.

4. Wait .....

...... I just switched browsers to test it and it doesn't happen on F.F. Color me embarrassed. Thank you for making me notice it! Just checked again..... it only happens in Edge. Guess I'll be using F.F. to come here. Funny that it only happens here and with Edge.
