2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSo what awe-inspiring details is Romney providing in his speech?
I read that his campaign has changed course, and he's going to talk about exactly what he's going to do.
Crickets on the tax returns though.
Anyway - if anyone is watching his speech, please let me know! I'm at work waiting for those details with baited breath....

In other words, he's going to keep lying but now he's going to try to stop contradicting himself so that it looks like he has a plan other than to aid the 1%.

I bet his brain hurts right about now, trying to manage that.

(5,815 posts)3. I heard a clip of him speaking live a little while ago---
And I promise you it sounded like his same stump speech with more blah, blah, blah added between each point. Nothing new, just more blather to expand the amount of time he was speaking. BUT NOT ONE NEW IDEA.
They just told us that so we'd pay attention since most of the audience has long since tuned out to Romney. They figured if they told us he was going to ELABORATE on his plan that we'd listen up. The only fly in that ointment is that if you serve up the same old pablum we tune out again. If you promise to put meat on the bones, we kind of expect a feast. Not spare ribs.
Nice try, Sparky, but take your "thank you for playing Tee Shirt and leave the stage".....Oh, please!

what a joke of a candidate he is and you're exactly right. His campaign made such a big deal about changing strategy and providing details, people are expecting it.
