If you thought Romney made a fool of himself in Britain, it was nothing compared to Romney tripping his way through political minefields in Israel. Politics is perception and at this, so far, Romney has failed miserably.
Yesterday the Israeli press said it was Romney speaking, but Netanhayus words. In that speech, Romney said Jerusalem was the capital of Israel and a Palestinian official said it was absolutely unacceptable that Romney would make such an announcement in the face of ongoing and precarious peace negotiations over the future of Jerusalem, accusing him of destroying negotiations. Today, Romney is accused of racism by the same Palestinian official, for suggesting that the Israeli culture is more advanced than the Palestinian culture.

(5,756 posts)Rmoney has proven once again he is not qualified to be the leader of the free world.
No proper, qualified, lucid US President or ANY US diplomat would be so callous as to compare two cultures and describe one of them as superior to the other based on culture. So I find it very disturbing the presumptive GOP candidate made those kinds of statements.
That's the kind of thinking we used to wipe out those Native American "savages" and take their lands. The same thinking that allowed us to justify enslaving millions of African American "heathens."
WE CANNOT ALLOW THAT MAN TO BE ELECTED!

... especially with the very oh so convenient scapegoat, primarily Palestinians since they don't have a nation of their own ergo everyone can blame them, but also technically anyone that any of the other factions in the region would like to blame for whatever happens.
situation + Mitt.
