"SNIP...............................
In Romney's Release of his incomplete 2010 Tax Returns, Mitt Romney forgot to mention his $1.5 Million Dollars of Iran Oil investments in that were reported in his 2006 Financial Disclosure Forms.
Did Romney sell his Iran Oil stocks or did he divert them to another shell company, who knows at this point what he did. If Romney did sell his investments in Iran Oil supply corporations, when did he sell them?
Mitt Romney invested in State-owned Iranian oil supply companies, and pumped money into the economy of Israels enemy, Iran, in 2006, even after Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called for the annihilation of Israel in 2005. (Some friend to Israel Mitt Romney turned out to be.)
From Romney's 2006 Financial Disclosure from we know he owned investments in Russian and Chinese Oil Corporations that invested in State-owned Iranian Oil Corporations that boosted Iranian economy and enabled Iran to become a world leader in the supply of oil.

(118,870 posts)But I think the Kochs have been libertarians for a long time. Do you mean is their a relationship with who the kochs are doing business with in Iran and who Romney is? No idea.

(47,992 posts)translates to favoring them with good business deals, making them an economic power in Iran. Shia is a significant minority in Iran, so other factions there probably don't appreciate not being favored as the Shia are by the Kochs' businesses. Shia are also a big deal in Iraq and there's a small radical faction, if I recall correctly, in Saudi Arabia that is a thorn in the royal family's side. A powerful group reaching across the borders of three countries in the region is something that one would think would be a concern if the region becomes more de-stabilized, as those borders were drawn by the British after WWI, I believe, so religious tribal relationships are more important than their nations, especially if there's resentment for special treatment for the Shia in Iran, right?
Just wondering what happens if old stuff between Iraq & Iran gets stirred up again if Iran is attacked by US/Israel.

(136 posts)they are 90-95% of the population there. They are 65-70% of the iraqi population. The only reason there was fighting between iran and iraq was that we were paying the sunni's running iraq (saddam's people) to attack the iranians., and that it was another good excuse for saddam to keep the shia majority in his country down, and continue to hold on to power, despite his group being a minority of the iraqi population.
