Seriously, though, I have no idea. It doesn't even seem to make sense as a dogwhistle.

7. I think it's his way of appealing to the over 60 repukes.

All the repukes I know, personally, are over the age of 60 (most of them over the age of 70) and the ones I know are all alcoholics (active) and therefore brain damaged. They don't keep up on current events, they are sort of stuck in the era when their brains last were able to make some sense of the world.

I believe Romney is catering to them, by going back in time as it were and using these old terms that they understand and feel comfortable with.

Kind of like in Alzheimers units where everything is made to look like long ago, in order to comfort the Alzheimers patients who can't deal with new things and things changing.

Repukes are kind of like very evil and unpleasant Alzheimer's patients (no insult intended to Alzheimers' patients, many of whom are still delightful people in spite of their terrible disease.)

Then he'd know.

How should he find out otherwise? From other Republicans? There's a fountain of reliable information--NOT!! LOL

Romney's utterances while in England were designed to give GOPers warm fuzzies, reminding them of their dearly beloved Reagan. Seriously.
