(6,407 posts)I guarantee they will end the filibuster. No question about it. The Dems not doing it so the GOP won't in the future is ridiculous. The GOP will definitely do it. I just hope and pray we keep the Senate and the Dems don't talk themselves out of doing what they need to regarding the filibuster.

(27,664 posts)But it's hard to understand Reid's logic. Near the end of Obama's first four years, and with the GOP in control of the House, why would he threaten to restrict the filibuster now? Republicans have a good chance of taking control of the Senate in January, making Reid's timing even more questionable.
