Vintage Bernie Videos from the 80's when he was Mayor of Burlington

A couple of You Tube clips of a younger Bernie Sanders in the 1980's when he was Mayor of Burlington. For some this will reinforce why they love him. For some it will confirm their dislike. But they're worth watching for some perspective on who he is and how he got to the place he is now. (Also the curiosity factor of what he looked and sounded like as a younger guy before he became a grandfatherly type.)


One is a speech in which he blasts the Reagan administration and American foreign policy, specially in Latin America.
Other is a long CSpan call in interview (1989) about his experiences tand his overall views.

It's also interesting how timely and relevant his views from then still are. (And kind of depressing at how many things haven't changed or have gotten worse.)....

Also, it shows that he is not a one-trick pony. He discusses many topics, including the media, pollution, political engagement, child care, etc.
