I should point out that caring a great deal about one issue, does not mean you don't care about any other issue.

(14,733 posts)I think Hillary might support teachers just fine, given her history of focus on children and women.
But as a whole, I'd say Bernie.

(46,179 posts)I don't think any neo-liberal candidate with connections to the Broad foundation is going to support me, my profession, or my students, in any way that I'd consider "fine." She may have a history of focus on children, but she also has a history of strong support for NCLB, as well as those connections to the Broad foundation.

(10,237 posts)Example " aren't rhey bad and take people's money and make stuff cost more ? I saw a movie and the bad guys were union goons ,etc...etc.....etc......My generarion was taughr that unions were bad and guess who started that lie ? If tou don't know that answer would you like to buy a bridge ?
The middle class was built on unions. Of course that's history, but they still play an important role
in labor. I have never belonged to a union, but for the people that do, they do for a reason. Protection.

(11,804 posts)what Unions have done for this nation. If we had a President who believed in Unions and the role they provide than that perception could be whittled away at.

(11,804 posts)And I would probably do a new poll to take that candidate into account. But we can look at where we are right now, can't we?
