If Trump Emerges As The Repugs Nominee How Will He Fare In The General Election Against....

any of the candidates now running for the Dem nomination that becomes the Dem nominee?

I getting a little concerned. There are many talking heads that are actually starting to take Trump seriously and some are saying that he could emerge as the Repug nominee.

We all know that Trump has notoriety and tremendous name recognition.

We all know that there are a lot of really stupid Americans that would vote for him - just because they know him, seen him on TV and bought into his crap.

Could he possibly become our next President? Could he beat Hillary? Sanders? O'Malley? Chaffee? Biden (if he decides to run)?

If he made it through the primary, Dems have a 100% golden lock on the WH.

Millions of Americans are hooked on reality TV, and Donald Trump is part of that whole scene. The Duck Dynasty family were practically national heroes for a time. The fact they got rich selling duck calls is astounding, but it's absolutely mind-blowing they made a TV show out of it. I think (I hope) most voters would find it amusing to have hi clowning around on TV, but not so much fun to have him as leader of the free world.

Between vote counting irregularities (cheating) and voter suppression and people being taken off the voting rolls, and voter ID, the democratic candidate has to get 5% more votes or about 6 MILLION more votes.

So whoever it is, keep this in mind.

Think about it.

Who would you rather be president - Trump or a piece of moldy bread?

Note that I didn't say "was elected". Either way, I've learned never to bet against the native stupidity of half of the American electorate.

are what apparently endear him to the more insane half of the country. 25% or so of them, anyway.

A lot of his support is coming from our opposite in number who are fed up with ALL politicians, regardless of stripes. A little like our side, actually, except we don't tend to latch on to bigoted, egocentric loudmouths with bad combovers.

No Republican candidate, including Trump can win the White House without at least 40% of the latino vote. So good luck with that.

His entire schtick is self-promotion -- it's what his millions are based on. This is Trump being Trump and the idiot MSM licking up every drop of it. Meanwhile, Bernie just went into RED Arizona and Texas and tore the place up. And the idiot MSM just completely missed it. Typical.

whether the MSM or its audience bears most of the blame for this. On one hand, the Establishment likes the status quo for the obvious reasons. OTOH, this country has a substantial proportion of gits who expect their news/political commentary in professional-wrestling form, and another unfortunate group too busy holding down multiple low-wage jobs to pay much (if any) attention.

Egad! It's the End Times when NPR chooses to cover Trump.
