While the DLC was forming at the time to push their Neo-Liberal agenda against progressives like Jesse Jackson, a junior congressman was speaking out in support not only of progressive Democratic values but also a damned fine African American politician.

Just remember that if you decide to vote for another Clinton whom the DLC groomed to win the presidency against such progressives as then Jesse Jackson and now Bernie Sanders.

History is your friend, not your enemy!

3. Bernie Sanders

is one of the only elected White officeholders who endorsed Jesse Jackson for President (twice!). In 1984, he got slapped at a rally when he endorsed Jackson (though the slap was probably for remaining an Independent Socialist, rather than a Democrat). In 1988, Sanders and his organizers helped Jackson win a surprise victory in the Vermont caucuses--by one state delegate. In Jesse’s memorable phrase, Bernie Sanders & Jim Hightower were among the few elected White officeholders brave enough to “cross the color line” to support him when it mattered.

for people doing what is basic and simply right. HOW MANY INOSCENT BLACKS HAVE BEEN SHOT IN PUBLIC SINCE SANDERS ENDORSED JACKSON? His endorsement hasn't stopped racism. His being an elected official for a long time has done nothing to stop racism. I'm not going to be told someone is good for me simply by their words. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever. I'm done with it.

Sanders is not a racist. This reeks of "look, he has a black friend." This doesn't look good. You are fighting demons that don't exist. If all of these posters cared as much about equality as they did about the insinuation that some rich white guys are racist, we would be so much better off. Sanders can handle this better than you. O'Malley can handle this better than you. BLM can handle this with or without you, and better than you.

There will be as many ops on the topic of the rough day two rich white men had at an event as their were about the SC church shooting.

When someone points out a truth about Bernie Sanders's history it's like Kryptonite to you Hillary supporters.

I am very familiar with his record and support him. He is by far more accomplished than all other candidates running. His stances on this issues are stronger as are his thought on equality.

Now, as you are a member of BLM, please tell me how he is bad for "your" movement?

Take a look. O'Malley doesn't run. He also knows the importance of listening.

He can do better.

Let's not state anyting he has done before the first of this year.

What do we know about Bernie? He has ethics and morals and isn't afraid to put them on the line in fear of losing an election. He has been so right on many matters ranging from war to incarciration to environment to civil rights. He is deep.

Don't short change his ability to see what is going on NOW and what actions need to be made NOW.

I think he can do it.

He needs supporters who are not afraid to lose the election but win the most important battles. Civil, social and financial justice.

Try listening to the ones who have been on the whole, on the raw side of all three. They can lead this, they got it. We need to put away our superiority (no matter how buried it is) and follow.

PS. stop taking this week end so personally, it isn't about YOU.

Edited because I am not a good speller and should always spell check
