I'm gonna have some fun

I must admit that at one time I was resigned to supporting Hillary Clinton for president. The thought of her defeating Jeb Bush or Donald Trump was enough for me to support her center right politics. After all she is better then the entire GOP list of candidates.
Then my wife stepped in. She was sick and tired of voting out of fear. She didn't want to vote for the lesser of two evils. She was determined to vote for someone that represented us.
So we looked into Bernie Sanders. Now I've always liked and admired Bernie Sanders, but I didn't think of him as Presidential.
But the Bernie Sanders platform matched most of my political stances. I could enthusiastically support the platform. And that is what we have decided to do.
I am going to have some fun supporting the politics of the left. I am going to have some fun opposing politics as usual. I am going to have some fun advocating what I believe in.
We may not win, but I am satisfied that the Bernie Sanders platform is out of the closet and trying to make it into the mainstream consciousness.
At least I'm going to enjoy the ride and be true to myself.
The left may be very unpopular in America. Time alone, time will tell. The platform is Built To Last. It may not always be unpopular. Perhaps huge crowds will someday gather to support the platform. I know that I am going to have some fun supporting what I have always believed in.

having said that I can't stress enough what much I hate these questions.

1-their are intrusive, how some one votes is a personal decision, and should be respected.

2-the implication often seems to be that you will be only given certain choses. And that feels a little undemocratic to me.

I answered a question, isn't it rude to not answer questions? Then I explained why I had jumped into the conversation, is it bad to explain your acts? You will also notice that I made my answer as open end as I could.

6. The billionaire-owned media will viciously attack Bernie the minute his campaign

looks like it will beat Hillary, and certainly will 'tar and feather' him all the way to the general election.

But for once that may not work. Americans are getting fed up with the game being stacked against us. Like many, I'm dead tired of stupid wars that keep going on and on, domestic spying, and the war on drugs. I'm really tired of having to fight privatization of things like prisons and the postal service. I'm thoroughly sick of watching my income never be quite enough, and getting nickel and dimed at every turn by the relentless quest for profits. It makes me want to vomit when I consider the huge debtload our children and grandchildren will have to start with if they have the temerity to get higher education. It isn't fair when they are talking in Washington about privatizing or at least reducing Social Security, because I've paid in 'full-boat' for 40 years and my benefits keep shrinking. I hate seeing the government allow flattening of pensions or downright theft of them.

So many things...

And Bernie's taking this message into ALL states, red, purple and blue. No wonder he's filling arenas in places like Texas.

Americans are ignorant from the constant bullshit barrage of 'news' from talk radio and Fox, so they don't know, at least right now, that they actually AGREE with Bernie. Because, hey, all you need to do is hear the guy.

This nation is ripe for a populist revolt. Maybe with Bernie, there can be a REAL DEAL instead of a RAW DEAL. He's the best candidate we've seen in half a century.

There's just one thing: if we elect Bernie POTUS and then just back off and hope he does the job, the job will only be halfway done. We're gonna have to work for a change as a people; keep informed, and hold our elected officials accountable for their actions.

I have also been thinking about the congressional races ... Would it be possible to use this election season as the springboard to a sea change in congress ? .... We have Sen Ron Wyden, US Rep's Earl Blumenour, and Susan Bonamici, two of whom I have voted for more than once ... ALL of them voted FOR TPA, which ran completely counter to the prevailing opinions of their own constituents ...

It might be time to promote a more liberal wing of this party, and push hard, even now, to bring like minded candidates against those dems who would sell us out for filthy lucre ....

A pipe dream, perhaps, but we NEED to change congress to actually change laws ... Liberal Progressive Democrats need to join with Bernie, and use his coattails, if he has any, to begin the process of overturning the most idiotic congressional caucus ever known ...

This could be the match to light the fire (metaphorically speaking - I am a non violent pacifist) and ignite the change we need across the board .... yes, I'm thinking big here, but this movement could grow large, given that a large population of the electorate now recognize their own sorry fate tied into the choices made this season ...

who also voted for TPA.

Unfortunately, there's no one here now to 'primary' him from the left.

However, he's an empty suit, otherwise known as a wind sock. When he senses which way the wind blows, and faces massive pressure from Coloradans to support Bernie's agenda then he'll turn around.
