If Hilary wants to be a sure thing for the democrats in 2016.

She needs to become pro marijauna legalization. She needs to come out and say it is time to end the madness and it is time to legalize this plant at the federal level and let the states work it out. If she did that she would win the nomination and the presidency easily.

The states will make their own decisions on this without the help of a potential president.

Our prisons are bursting at the
seams with non-violent drug offenders.
The minority populations are
disproportionately incarcerated for
non-violent crimes like having pot.
The drug war is costing us BILLIONS.

but people don't think about that stuff?

No, they probably respond to
Hillary lamenting about everyone
not having enough "fun"!

You've hit the nail on the head...Hillary (Admittedly, it does help Hillary more than other candidates because her Achilles heel is class issues. She simply cannot talk about class issues without sounding entitled, patronizing or like she's shilling for Wall St.) or any other Democratic nominee can end this race before it starts by hitting the issues and points you just raised...but not in reference to marijuana legalization, but rather the necessity of prison reform.

The penal system not only doesn't work...it's a drag on the economy both in-terms of displaced labor and being massively expensive to maintain.

The stance would show that she does believe in states rights and if she spins it correctly she can come out as passionate and caring and human. Doing away with gestopo police tactics that violate people peacefully using a plant given to us by mother nature. That would be huge in the polls. She already has her base. The propot silent minority would swing it.

Legal weed and medicinal weed are baseline issue that motivate lots of voters left
right and center. All she needs to say is shed will reschedule and respect the rights of states.

Immigration reform too.

No keystone pipeline

No fast track free trade

If she took a page from Warren and Krugman she would demand a wall st. tax to fund infrastructure
Nationwide to create x number of jobs.

She does all the above , all the wall st. money could dry up and she still blows out any Republican

But she won't. Because she's not a liberal. She's barely further left of Nixon

Ya think she & Bill inhaled?
Oh wait..Bill already alluded to that
Bet they had some good times..
Be fine with me if she addressed the value of pot.
