Walker Wows Conservatives Despite Stumbles

Walker Wows Conservatives Despite Stumbles

“Scott Walker’s early surge in the jockeying for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination reflects the belief by conservatives that he is truly one of their own and has a track record to show for it,” Reuters reports.

“But the Wisconsin governor’s rapid rise to the top of national polls of Republicans is coming at a cost. His recent verbal stumbles have made him look ill-prepared for the national spotlight and exposed his inexperience on the campaign trail.”

Nate Cohn: “On paper, he is nearly perfect, a conservative hero who fought organized labor and won, who triumphed over a labor-led recall effort and wound up winning a blue state three times in four years… But to win the nomination, Mr. Walker will need to prove as capable on the campaign trail as he is on paper.”

1. As with 2012, this is not a strong field

Christie has imploded and Jeb has baggage. The rest of the field is composed of RWNJs who are unelectable. Walker is also flawed but he may be the best in this field. I am not so sure that Romney will not get back into the race if Jeb implodes

GOP operative calls Scott Walker 'kind of a dumba--'

On Thursday, Salter went on Facebook and posted an article criticizing a comment Walker made about the Islamic State jihadist group (also known as ISIS or ISIL) at the Conservative Political Action Conference. Salter added a colorful comment.

"I want to like him but Scott Walker is kind of a dumb ass," Salter wrote.

he has been the most successful governor at carrying out their mean spirited shit, by far.

So, to them he has to be a hero.

But, yeah, he isn't real sharp and he also is going to be hard to pretty up for the bikini show of a presidential.

The GOP loves their idiots, and they have a long trail of morons representing them at the highest levels. Walker will have trouble matching the mental incompetence of Sarah Palin, but he is within reach.

9. "winning a blue state three times in four years…"

Wisconsin's governor's office, state senate and assembly, supreme court, and attorney general's office are all controlled by republicans. It's time to stop saying that Walker is some sort of genius for winning in what has become a red state. It's great that Obama and Tammy Baldwin won here, but they're in DC and not stuck here in the middle of the grand RWNJ experiment.
