If this state is close, Obama will win in November. He trailed in the average polls on election day in NC and eked it out. My guess is that Obama supporters are more eager to turn the vote out than Romney.

(112 posts)4. Remember, they don't count minority voters in these polls
because they think they already know who minorities are voting for. So that should give Obama even more of an edge in NC. I'm so glad the convention is in NC, that should give us another boost as well.

The link has the stats. 20% black, 7% Hispanic.

so I would say, like 2008, that NC is very much a toss-up.
