What does this Romney quote mean?

Romney is on a boat

Wolfeboro, New Hampshire (CNN) – Likely GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney took a day off from the campaign trail Saturday to spend some alone time on a boat in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.

As seen in the photo above, Romney got out on the waves with Secret Service as company. Earlier this week, the former Massachusetts governor told reporters he was planning for a rare, quiet afternoon.

"It will be me alone. Put the boat in the water," he said. "Get out the picnic tables. By myself."

So, if he is going to spend the day by himself why does he need multiple picnic tables - while on a boat?
Maybe I'm not fully awake yet but I can't make sense of what he is saying there.

Taking the boat out for a spin in the New Hampshire waters and setting up my own picnic table in a quaint spot away from the little people so I can enjoy my pre-packed, multi-hundred dollar meal with.........whoever this elitist snob took with him on the trip

simply away from the swarms of the great unwashed. After all, he is superior, donchano, a prince of his church, among the elite 1% of the wealthy. He's had to endure months of mingling with the "little people" and now he needs a break to be with just his peers. (where's that sacrasm thingy?)

We know he's been a lying, job-thieving, animal-abusing, homophobic, hypocritical SOB for a long time, but his most recent statements wouldn't make sense to a four-year-old.

I'll have to put this one into my file along with my previous favorite:

"I'm not familiar precisely with exactly what I said, but I stand by what I said, whatever it was."

if he isn't in early stages of dementia. He's only a couple of years older than I am, but he can't seem to compose an articulate statement.

Of course, he is a Republican. This is the best they can come up with?

At least we have DU so we can come here to vent.

When you lie as much as Mitt does. He has to edit himself to tell the appropriate lie depending on who he is talking to, and what day it is.

I know when you listen to him during his senate run in 1994, he sounds more confident and clearer - reasonable, even!

But now? Totally different person. He doesn't sound intelligent at all. He gets angry quick. His sentences end nowhere.

but his behavior is simply bizarre.

Agree or not with all of Obama's political decisions, he has never once embarrassed us on the world stage - has always conducted himself with dignity.

Can you imagine this dingbat (Romney) at the G8?

BTW - what's your preference - Jameson's or Power's?

Romney is not able to control the world around him and he's found himself in the middle of a Hurricane.

He is seeking the eye of the storm, but this is only a temporary respite.

He finds himself as more of a piece in a game, and not the hand that controls the movements.

Romney has no defined center since it shifts frequently based on expediencies and perceived necessities.

It would be wonderful to think that he realizes some of this and has internal conflicts that would eventually cause him to progress.
