Rock Star reception greets Elizabeth Warren

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — Populist Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) got a rock-star reception during a standing-room-only campaign rally here Monday, as hundreds of liberal activists cheered her broadsides against corporate interests and voiced hopes that her presence might shift the political winds in an increasingly Republican state.

Snip.....

“Our job is to fight for the families of America,” Warren said, speaking to a packed ballroom at the Clarion Hotel in West Virginia’s eastern panhandle. “Stitch up the tax loopholes so that millionaires and billionaires pay at the same tax rate as the people in this room.”

interim appointee running for the vacated seat of Max Baucus in MT - will request that she come and campaign with him.

Considering the recent Hobby Lobby decision especially, a visit from Warren could actually tip the polls in his favor. MT women, even conservative women, are not radical Southern evangelicals, and they do NOT like anyone telling them what they can and can't do about their most personal decisions.

Walsh is not likely to be a liberal Democrat of the stripe that I would prefer but he is WAY better than the alternative (Steve Daines - R) and he would also represent another D to keep the Rs from Senate control.

Keeping control of the Senate is an IMPERATIVE! I have actually seen some responses on DU where people say it doesn't matter using some convoluted logic worthy of a Rahm Emanuel. I find it astounding that ANY true Dem would ever say something like that. It absolutely does matter. ABSOLUTELY!
