GOP House Votes For Tax Breaks To Add $287 Billion More To Deficit

WASHINGTON -- The GOP-led House of Representatives embraced a former stimulus measure Friday, voting to make it and another related tax cut permanent, adding $287 billion to the deficit over the next 10 years.

The largest part of the cut, worth more than $263 billion, is making permanent so-called bonus depreciation, which allows businesses to write off the cost of capital investments and improvements much more quickly.

I'm certainly not complaining, but it sure looks that way. I question if they have a normal brain among them...even if all are combined?

but, thanks to YEARS and YEARS of giving lip service to "fiscal responsibility" and the media lovingly treating them as the party that cares about government spending, that is what they people think ...

Who'd a thought?

Yes, this should die in the Senate, or by Pres veto, but now they can say that they did something. Hopefully, the people voting in Nov will remember they never did anything useful.
