HOW THE HELL DID PREVIOUS PRESIDENTS TRAVEL . . .

to election rallies, television appearances, etc.? Did they fly coach on American Airlines? What the hell is this Air Force One crap about now? I have never seen or heard any mention or question of any previous president's travel arrangements until now. They bitch about his vacations, his wife's vacations . . . everything! Do they know how tiresome and boring this crap is? I did not even finish reading this article about his election kick-off rally in Ohio because the first lines pissed me off, and I, for one am tired of this crap!

WASHINGTON - Bankrolled almost entirely by taxpayers,
President Bush is roaming far and wide on Air Force One to help Republicans retain control of Congress and capture statehouse contests in high-stakes midterm elections.

In 15 months, including back-to-back fundraisers Wednesday in Little Rock, Ark., and Nashville, Tenn., Bush has collected $166 million for the campaign accounts of 27 Republican candidates, the national GOP and its state counterparts across the country, according to the
Republican National Committee

What do we expect our President to travel on - whether Republican or Democrat? Private jets that are lacking serious security? Commercial air? Bus? Or just not campaign at all?

the ruckus they would make if President Obama flew Air Force One someplace to cheer for one of his team members?! They would be foaming at the mouth, writhing on the ground, and making sounds no human has ever made before. It might not be a new issue, but it has never been said as often as it is now.

invent stories and lies -- some of which are very obnoxious, such as the one about his being foreign-born
and therefore not eligible to be president. They just want to make as big a row and as much noise as they
possibly can, hoping that people will believe them. And it is really surprising how many of the ignorant ones
do believe these deliberately invented lies.

This is behavior typical of sick people, the sociopaths and psychopaths.

someone always whines about it, it's a simply tactic to try to pressure or embarass the incumbent, or to change the regulations accordingly, to cough up more campaign money to reimburse the government for campaign-related expenses.

both sides do this, and the press always covers it on a slow news day.

a petty issue and a real yawning unless you're a rather technical bureaucrat.

the former, half wit clown president quite literally dropped pretty much every ball that went to air during his presidency, out of the sheer boredom of actually having to do the job.

From allowing 9-11 to happen on his watch, to allowing the budget to go bizarrely into debt, to allowing the economy to get run into the ditch, to Katrina ...

President Obama takes actually doing the job, and the heavy thinking required with it, seriously.

It IS the business of politics the way it is set up here now, that the president does all this campaigning.

IF he actually is doing the job, RIGHT, then so be it.

What chaffed me about Bush was he didn't really want to do THE JOB, while he was jetting all over the place doing the campaigning.

It was a 100 percent POLITICAL operation vs BO, who managed to actually run the country while doing the campaigning.

I'm not saying that I agree with them, I'm just stating their position.

The nation would absolutely be better served if the President spent more of his time focusing on the issues and less time focusing on fundraising. But if the Republicans want a culprit, they need only look in the mirror. They are the ones who are most adamantly against campaign finance reform and they're the ones appointing justices who believe that money is speech.

than Georgie Boy did wide awake. The fact that they take everything President Obama does as a campaign speech is not his fault. Again, it's the way one interprets one he does. And, I feel he is criticized more harshly than any of the others. Yes, even more than President Carter, whom I thought did a fine job as president also.

A lot of people who would like to serve are held back due to lack of resources. It's very hard to be continually trying to raise money to one-up an opponent. We end up not necessarily with the best candidates, but the ones who can raise the most money. That goes for either party.
