I am, as feared, a paid troll. It is true. The Obama administration, using tax-payer dollars sent to me on a bi-weekly plan, has paid me to post positive information about President Barack Obama. It is true that Obama actually doesn't have any supporters, especially from those on the left, and don't let any national poll tell you otherwise - they too have been bought off by the administration. If you see a poll that shows Obama with overwhelming support from Democrats and the left, it's fabricated.

I am coming clean because I want to clear my conscience and to also beg for your mercy. It's no longer possible to keep this ruse up. Too many of you are on to us and it was only a matter of time before our little scheme was outed.

I am so very sorry.

But yeah...with these type of cheap shots against fellow posters (on a site dedicated to Democrats), it sometimes makes me wonder if some of them are fakes themselves who are here solely to disrupt. It's interesting because I notice there's seldom a word from this crowd when there is any good news about the President or whenever some Republican does some crooked stuff, but all of a sudden it hits the fan when manufactured crises occur like with Snowden or Assange. Those issues are apparently more paramount to them than say, the economy or health care, and one is all of a sudden cast out as "center-right" or an "authoritarian" if they hold a different view.
Another poster nailed it when s/he called them the "Tea Party Left". Just like the far-Right, our fringe is incapable of seeing the big picture in politics and government, and they are hostile to those who don't walk lockstep with all their beliefs.

Were you inappropriately identified as a professional poster? Or are you suggesting professional posters don't exist? They do exist, although I'm dubious any of them work on the White House staff. OFA might have some. But they do exist. The more "documented" ones identified over the years worked for public relations firms that "sold" this as part of a larger service. It is part of the "astroturf" work that is for sale. They exist much more outside of politics with services that advertise "creating buzz" for various products. Truth is I suspect they work far more on the right than the left. Their tactics align very well with people like Karl Rove.
